I teach high school metalwork and we use the Tormach daily. I hate dealing with USB drives as kids lose them/steal them. The way our network is setup I can’t network the machine due to privacy issues. I asked, its a nonstarter for our tech department and district policies.
I used to use Dropbox and it worked perfectly. I know that Dropbox dropped support for the version of Linux Pathpilot uses.
Is there any word if we will be moving to that version and can have dropbox back?

If you can’t network them how would they access Dropbox?
An update to the OS is planned as part of the Pathpilot 3 work. There is no release date on when that will be available (more than 18 months, minimum).
I’d second Scott’s question too though.
Thank you,
Norman
Sorry, the tormach is on the network as a stand alone, with access to the internet, but I cannot map the hard drive to our network to share files that way as there is some issue with Linux and policies.

You can always use PathPilot Hub - About Tormach Virtual PathPilot

Ya that’s a perfect use case for hub.pathpilot.com. Each student can have their own account, or you could have just one. It’s secure and will work like dropbox for you.
