I have held off upgrading from 2.10.1 as it sounded like there were some issues in the first iterations of 2.12. Has that all been sorted out? Is it now safe (enough) to upgrade to the newest? Is there any real advantages?
Thanks in advance!

I ended up going back to 2.10 and have been nervous to update again. There were some features I liked but jogging with the arrow keys was floaty and weird and I knew crashing a tool or something was likely
Was that 2.12.0 or 2.12.1? I did the upgrade but haven’t had time to check it out yet tonight.
I felt it too! I knew I wasn’t the only one. I think they fixed the floaty jogging or my brain adapted to it. Either is possible.
I think they did something to the usb driver that made the jogging floaty, I made a post about it but nobody said anything so I thought I was just crazy.
Several bugs still, you can search for them on the forum. If you do t use any of the things that have bugs it’s just like the old version only with new things like tool wear and more camera support. I use V2.12.3 and my only problems are the metric radius tool conversational bugs.
Thanks we’ll see how I do…
Its time for me to learn cutter comp, I know the new PP has this added to offset page. Has anyone use it yet, likes, dislikes etc.?
I haven’t used it yet either but it should be easy to use you just should be able either manually add/subtract the number you want for compa nd turn it on in the CAM is what I’m guessing.
Here’s what chatGPT thinks of my reply:
Metric compensation has a bug.
Do you know if this bug is affecting Imperial as well? What are you seeing?
I installed the new update last night but have not used it yet. I like the new look!
I only use metric but I have not seen any posts referi g to the inch side.
I use it for cutter wear in Inch. Works fine for me, but you have to decide how you want to use comp and stick with that or it gets very complicated.
Wondering how everyone measures carbide end mill diameters? I’ve been using a micrometer but I’m always afraid the edges will chip. I haven’t upgraded to the diameter sensing ETS yet.
Cut something and measure is what I do. That covers for any non-concentricity in the tool and holder as well.
Has anyone had any issues with the tool changer after the update, i have to restart my controller twice since i updated it, the first error code tells me that the reset button failed to bring the machine out of e stop, restart, that goes away, then the toolchanger wont load and says check cabling, i wiggle every wire i can find, that does nothing, so restart again and it works fine then, its getting annoying though
