What version of PathPilot to update to?

I have a PCNC770 Series 3 mill, SN 70250 made 01/2012. It is currently running PathPilot version 1.9.3 which, until now, has worked well for me. Today I need to drill a circular hole pattern. Alas, I do not find a function to do this in the drill tab. Did I just miss seeing something or do I need to update PathPilot to a later version? If I update, should I choose the very latest version or would n intermediate version be a better choice?

Here’s a thread you might find interesting. I think you will need to get the USB stick from Tormach to get to the current versions.

I wonder why they have not upgraded PP to the newer version? That’s really the question to ask. You can still use the hub and learn but I wonder what the reason for not being on a newer version of the controller is? I know you have to get a usb drive from Tormach to get from 1.9 to 2.x so that might be why they haven’t done it. Thank you for the link. I was hoping for instant gratification but can wait for the USB stick. The price is certainly not a problem. Meanwhile it won’t hurt me to do l little trigonometry to do the hole pattern.

I originally purchased the machine as I had a large order that required hours cranking my manual Bridgeport. It has had a rough life but still works for my needs. It has paid for itself several times over, to say nothing of the money saved by not having to visit my chiropractor.
