I’m using SprutCam 15, I am machining a part that I will break up into portions using PathPilot’s machine from line function. I’m using a .123 diameter end mill to do the do the sides. Then in a separate operation do the top face to its Z dimension. Then switching to a .047 diameter cutter to finish the cavity and radius. I have previously done the radius joining the boss between the piston pin and the top of the H face of the rod and down both sides. Now I’ve tried separating each of those actions. But the same problem arises.
Where it should be starting the radius on the bottom edge of the part it instead goes to the joint between the rod & cap that has previously been completed so it’s cutting air, same for the top side radius. At the place where it says header approach & rapid it starts moving to the location where it cuts air. I’ve tried restricted zone to no avail. When I had the three in one operation it also threw those unnecessary passes in the mix some where. anyone have any helpful suggestions?
