Tram Error - New 1100MX

We have a brand new 1100MX which keeps giving this error. Not sure where to start. Looking for recommendations. Thanks in advance.

01:06:31 | Machine interface error. Check cabling and power to machine and then press RESET.

Go to the support page and open a ticket. They will fix it.

Tech support is definitely the way to go on this one but while you wait for a response, I would be checking and and all cables between the machine and the controller. The ECM and Machine interface error bits have me thinking the controller (computer) can’t properly communicate with the machine’s control board (in the electronics cabinet at the back).

Also check that you have power everywhere you need it. There should be some status lights on the control board as well as in the ethernet port on the control board. If the board lights are off, you have a power issue somewhere. If the ethernet port lights aren’t on/flashing, it’s likely a comms problem.

I’ll open a ticket. Loose cable somewhere makes sense. Soon after a reset the the mill will jog for a few minutes then stop and throughs the error again.

Problem resolved! The internal ethernet cable from the cabinet to the main board is defective. Bypassed this cable and he mill is running fine. Funny thing is I swapped ethernet cables but did not think to bypass the internal cable.
