Hello! What are “Dia wear” and “Len wear” settings that appeared on offsets page in PathPilot 2.12? Are they used with G41.2/G42.2 codes that Tormach Fusion post produces when “wear” is specified? Do negative values mean that tool is larger/longer?
The wear collums are used to adjust the tool offsets as the tool wears down over time. This allows you to keep track of how much you have adjusted the tool offset from its original value so you have a better idea of when the tool needs to be changed. The value in the collum is added to the offset, so a negative value would make the machine think the tool is shorter.
Not all the operations in fusion take wear into effect. Seems like the adaptive ones don’t. Also you have to specify in each operation (the ones that use tool wear) to use in computer or in controller or off. Off is the default I believe.
