So my teacher says that , it seems like the lathe tools that are attached to the 8 station turret are not in the correct sequence anymore and need to be reprogrammed/recalibrated so that the machine selects the correct tool when the students run their programs.
Does anyone have any advice or the steps to accomplish this for the school I work in?
Thanks

Paul,
There is no “reprogramming” of tool positions, each one is detected by a switch inside the turret. The switches aren’t readily accessible.
I would recommend opening a ticket with the Tech Support team here: Jira Service Management. I would recommend grabbing a video showing the issue, that would be one of the first things we ask for.
Thank you,
Norman

I loaded my tools 1-8
Trigon roughing
Neutral semi roughing
Rh 25deg contouring
Lh 25 deg contouring
Top notch grooving
Drilling
Tapping
Parting
Plus QCTP below axis.
Works for 90% of the things I do.

Couldn’t it be just the tool numbers in the offset table vs what is in their programs? How is the programing being done? Is it conversational or CAM software?
Sorry didn’t see your reply.
I use #1 as a master. Tools in the table should reflect the order of what’s in each position. Cam tools reflect tool numbers in the machine. Should be mirror image to prevent crashes etc.
