I’m asking if a couple people could post a video of changing the tool on their 1100mx BT-30. I went through a lot when it was new with the tool releasing like the kick from a shotgun. I am thinking of getting a tool changer and I am afraid the tool holder would blast right through the changer fork. Just want to se some for comparison. That way I can see if I can fix one problem before compounding.
I had similar issues with mine when I first got it. Also had a few tools that would not release without sticking a screwdrive in the gap and popping them out. Long story short, my drawbar wasn’t being fully compressed (I have an older 1100 with a 3 stage cylinder). There was enough vertical movement in the drawbar cylinder tower that by the time the cylinder was actually compressing the drawbar, there wasn’t enough travel left to fully release the gripper and let the tool drop. I added simple washers under the pivot bolt and retainer pin, then readjusted the bolt in the cylinder rod so it just barely cleared the drawbar (no tool installed, this is important). Since then, all tools drop off nicely, no more popping, and no more prying them out.
