I’m based in the UK and will shortly take delivery of my 440 mill. I’m looking to connect the power draw bar to my air supply using small push fit air connectors. Being in the UK and using the metric system I’m wondering if the 1/4” tubing on the drawbar kit will seal in a 6mm push fit connector….
The other option I have is to change the small pneumatic connections to metric, can anyone tell me what the threads are on these small connectors that connect to the draw bar?
The threaded ports on the cylinder are 1/4 NPT and I have had reasonable success using 6mm hoses in 1/4" PTC fittings. However, depending on the tolerance of the fitting and/ or hose, it could be a wobbly connection.
I’ve had mixed success mixing 1/4 and 6mm fittings and tubing. Sometimes it works, others times, not so much. I’d probably just give it a shot and see what happens before spending money on new fittings. If it doesn’t work, nothing lost but time, just go buy the new fittings. If it does work, you’ve saved yourself a few quid.
