can the 8L convert to do external metric threading.?

Once you enter G21 in the MDI line, you will see Metric threads appear in the threading drop down.

Because its a CNC with such fine resolution You can also convert to Sae and store them in the custom threads so you dont have to switch to metric.
Go to Newman tools : toms useful info : pitch conversions. Then you just look up the Id od maj min and convert to Sae.
Makes it easier for me so I dont forget to convert back and forth.
