Hi all! I’m thinking about buying a Rapid Turn to go with my PCNC 770. I’m hoping to use it for small production runs (around 100-200 parts) and weighing it against a standalone CNC lathe.
What are the options for cutting small internal threads (e.g. M4x0.7) on Raid Turn? Does it support rigid tapping? Or is it restricted to using single point threading tools?

The rapidturn doesn’t support rigged tapping. Can do single point internal threading but not sure how small you can go. I’ve done 6-32 threads no problem once I increased the number of passes it does.

Thanks! The finest thread I’m currently looking at is 0.7mm thread pitch. That’s about 36.3tpi so it sounds like it should be doable with a small enough single point internal threading tool.
