I’m looking to machine a 2” OD piece of stainless steel 303 on the 8L, but from research, the recommended SFMs that I’ve seen have ranged from 150 - 2000. Can anyone with experience cutting stainless steel 303 offer what SFM you used?
We run a fair amount of 303 on the 8L in the showroom, for demos. For general cutting we are running 250-350 SFM.
I don’t run the machine up to an inch of its life so I’m curious what others are getting out of their 8Ls.
