Repowering 1100M

Can a Tormach 1100M be configured to run off 115V by just changing the spindle motor? is this possible?

Simple answer, no. The motor is just one part of the 220v circuit. At some level, the 1100 is nothing more than a 770 with bigger bits so it is technically possible to convert it to 110 power but without looking at the schematic, I would say the minimum required changes would be the motor, vfd, and potentially the 24v dc power supply. I would suspect some relays would also have to be changed, a good deal of wiring, and if it has flood coolant, the coolant pump.
Some of that might be a simple case of rewiring/reprogramming existing parts but that would take some research to determine for sure.

You don’t have a 220 line in the house?
you could look for a transformer to run it. It might take an 8000w transformer.

Yes I was thinking maybe transformer, but also maybe a 770 BT spindle swap if simple and would fit.

I’m pretty sure you could find someone to take the spindle motor but finding someone that has the one you want is the hard part. The problem is going to be getting the new VFD to work with path pilot. It’s going to be a pain.
I can’t remember but I thought in the us all houses had 220 single phase since the 60’s.
I also thought for some reason that in the us you can run two 110v breakers together to make a 220v outlet. You should ask an electrician about this though as i think you need a special breaker.

While nearly all US residences are on 220 or 230v circuits, many rental units, sheds and apartments do not have it or expose it and/or have landlords and insurance agents that take a very dim view of DIY electrical work.

A transformer will be of no use unless there’s an outlet with sufficient amperage. The reason the 1100 uses 220 is it wants more power than a standard US 110v outlet is rated to supply.

Presumably if the OP got hold of a 770M spindle motor and VFD (it appears Tormach sells both), they could tell PathPilot they have a 770M with extended travels, although there may be a lot more rewiring involved than that. I would consult with them directly.
