I am using a Tormach 1100 in a coop setting. The PathPilot version on the machine is 1.9.11 I would like to use the PathPilot hub to become more familiar with the software however the hub is offering version 2.12.0 or 2.10.1 or 2.9.2
Not being familiar with the program, is there a substantial difference between these versions or is there a way I can learn using the 1.9.11 version?
Or if I try to use 2.9.2, will I run into conversion or version difference issues?

I wonder why they have not upgraded PP to the newer version? That’s really the question to ask. You can still use the hub and learn but I wonder what the reason for not being on a newer version of the controller is?
I know you have to get a usb drive from Tormach to get from 1.9 to 2.x so that might be why they haven’t done it. Here is a link to the release notes for PP so you can judge the differences.

The basic functionality of PathPilot remains relatively unchanged across the years but 1.9 is pretty old and off the top of my head I’m not sure what all changes have been made. If hand I would expect some of the conversational pages to be radically different or non existent on the older version and we have made strides in probing.
Lots of changes under the hood as well.
