I use a cnc router with grbl as well as PathPilot.
I like that in UGS I can create a button to run a macro, as they call it.
PathPilot should have a 3rd tab on the main screen in the upper left next to the View Option which defaults to a folder where we can put custom nc gcode files. That would run when clicked(maybe right clicked & confirmed) without selecting the file, it loading in the main screen, then clicking cycle start. Just a tab, right click the file and confirm to run it and it goes & that code doesnt load into the main g-code window. I hate typing in the MDI, and with that 3rd tab Tormach wouldnt need to create a bunch of new screens & code for macro customization. We can go to the file tab to see, create & edit our custom files just like any other code. Make the file the custom codes are in named MACROS. Whatever we create & put in the file shows up in that 3rd tab on the main screen.
Now that I think of it, is there a button to cycle thru WCS? G54, G55 etc.
If we had this option I bet many people will start finding a whole lot of reasons to make macros to make things easier/quicker.
