Pathpilot acting strange with probing routines

I’ve been noticing lately (maybe with the last update I did to pathpilot) that when I am running a probing routine and it exceeds the machine limits, it will stop and give an error noting so but it will also prevent me from moving the machine again. It tells me the machine is “still in motion” and it’s clearly not. I can’t even e-stop and reset. The only thing I can do is to have a program loaded up before (because you can’t load a program while the machine is “in motion”) and to run that program, and then stop it. If I don’t have a program loaded, the only option is to shut down the machine and reboot it.

Hi Garrett - Thank you for bringing this up. This bug was introduced in the latest release, v2.14.1, and we are actively working on a fix for the next version.

You can safely downgrade to a previous version if this continues to be a blocker for you until the new version is released.

That’s what I ended up doing and it fixed that issue. I ran into another issue while running a program just a second ago. My program ended and I went to restart it at a certain line but forget to set the line. I hit cycle start and it asked for a tool change - that let me know I messed up. I hit stop while it was still requesting the tool change, and navigated to the line I wanted. It requested I change to tool 33 and I had tool 31 in the spindle. I checked that tool 31 was still listed on the main screen as the tool offset, selected the line and started from there. The machine crashed down into the part. I doubled checked that tool 31 was still listed and it was, but when I checked the height by eye in the machine it was clearly off. I re-entered tool 31 and the offset changed. So that means even if I don’t confirm a tool change it changes the height offset but doesn’t change to the proper tool number on the main screen to let you know.

That is really messed up
