I have been using my 1500 for a few months and all is well. Just curios, what is the best method to back up all my settings? Is there anything that does not get backed up in the process?

ADMIN Settings Backup will handle that for you. There’s more detailed info in the knowledge base: here
Thanks Ian. That works for me!
One more backup question. I backed up the settings and tool library and axis compensation to a USB drive. Is there anything else I should backup? Still new to Path Pilot.
Sorry for the delayed response. Honestly, I’ve only ever used the backup function once and that was WAY back in the early days of my machine. Based on your list, I can’t imagine there’s anything else worth backing up as the rest is just PP itself. I have a customized .rules file but that’s a very niche situation so I expect it’s not a concern for you.
The ADMIN SETTINGS BACKUP and matching ADMIN SETTINGS RESTORE can take the complete mill setup and restore it onto a factory clean console. The only thing I’ve found you need to watch for is content you have added to the machine. Specifically directories and files you have added. For instance I have a directory called jobs that has nc code stored on the machine that is not included in the backup. These files are also on my PC so I don’t worry about losing them.
One caveat is job runtimes. The mill will not have records of the jobs run and how long they take after a restore.
Thanks Jon… Sounds good!
