Hi, has anyone tried to do the install of the Microarc 4 but on the new style 770MX?
I can’t find anything on YouTube, or online at all. The wiring looks different to anything else I’ve seen and i don’t think it matches the installation manual anymore! I want to be sure before i start poking around. Think its probably been updated during the facelift and mine is 2026/02 so its a really early version of the new style, but I’m struggling to know which way to go with it.

I would say look at the 1100mx install info and open a ticket. I imagine they took the control boards straight out of the 1100mx and used them for the new 770mx because that’s what I would do but I could be totally wrong. If the 770mx uses the new Ethercat system from the 1500 then I think you will need a MicroArc 5. But open a ticket. They are quick.
Response was quick, yes it’s Ethercat - new instructions have been perfect, just waiting to get the dip switch info and then i can get it finished installed
Al the dip switches are off, got it all installed and working. very Happy, another thing to try out. If anyone else has issues, either let me know or get on the ticket system, really quick and responsive. Needed to machine some t slot nuts because we ordered our 4th axis through the UK distributor, who hadn’t mentioned that we would need adaptors fromt he PCNC 440 kit that the MicorARC4 comes with to make it work on the larger t-slot nuts. But a nice little project in the background to machine some nuts. Worked a treat.
