I’m trying to find someone with a 1500MX in production use, that’d be willing to do a shop tour or short demo, preferably in the Southeastern United States.
My company is building out a dry machining cell for plastics, where budget and throughput are both primary concerns. The 1500MX seems to be a good fit for our application in terms of price and capability, but there’s some hesitation around how new the machine is on the market, as well as the reputation of older models, that I’d like to ease with some face-to-face time with a machine in a real-world production use-case.
In theory we’d be able to do a lot more per man-hour on a 1500MX than many similarly priced entry-level vertical mills. If there’s anyone here I can connect with who’d be willing to show one running I’d love to get in touch.
