I made a picture frame from aluminum, for the family, on my 1100Mx. It’s an easy job from aluminum but wood would be easier. I made it easy to bolt down to the table because my vice isn’t big enough for the stock.
The way I made mine was clamp the stock, drill the holes to hold it down inside the picture hole (all tool paths avoid the hold downs. Move the hold downs to the drilled holes. Run the first side program.
Then sand blast the front and run the engrave.
Then flip it over (clamp using the holes again). (I used a piece of Lexan between the frame and the table because the sandblasted finish can be delicate depending on the blast media. You can do the sandblasting and engraving at the end but holding it down is not easy.) Run the back profile clearing.
Then switch the clamps to the profile cleared area and run the pocket clear.
The profile and pocket programs are pretty aggressive and throw big chips and steams flood coolant.
The programs are split per side
