Hi all, don’t want to bother folks with a ticket for this, but, over the weekend I was updating my PP version for the first time since buying the machine used in 2020 (I wanted to get at the spindle warm-up routine that’s in there nowadays, which worked great), and I was just noticing for the first time that I can’t make any sense at all of the stamped-on “Date” info on my metal info plate. It says (in addition to the S/N), “…/201 -03”, with the “1” and the “03” stamped in to the plate. I know this machine is a 2018 machine, so, this “201 -03” doesn’t make any sense to me at all…can anyone enlighten me on how the machine date info is interpreted? Thanks–Charley in CO
Your machine is about 1,824 years out of warranty.
Ha, well, fortunately then that I’m not having any issues with it. At any rate, still don’t have a clue how to interpret that date info…??
—you think maybe they just missed stamping the “8”?
I’m not sure but the serial number should be on your invoice and inspection report. Maybe the punch was broken and not detected and corrected.
It would probably be a 7 or 6 as it takes a long time from finished to sold. My 2022 1100mx is stamped 2021.
Hi there, Charley,
The date stamped on every machine is the date of manufacture. Looks like the factory misspelled the date and is missing a number after the “201”; this date is different from the warranty date.
The first four digits would be interpreted as the year, and the next two digits would stand for the month.
Thanks,
Juan
