Crated height of new 1500 MX un-boxed

What is the height of the 1500 MX when it’s un-crated but still on it’s pallet.?

Most residential garages have door openings that are 82 to 84 inches tall. Looking at the drawings and crate size it doesn’t look like you could get this into a normal garage that doesn’t have a high bay door.

This would be for the “self assemble” option not the factory assembled version.

Thanks

@Eric the minimum height of the machine is 80" but that is after you pull it off the crate and stand it on the feet. On the crate it will be ~1.5" less than that.

My garage door is 80.5-81”. Based on your statement, this should fit? I’m assuming I’d need to remove at least the top part of the crate, which appears to be 89” based on what I’ve read. Thanks.

The machine is 80" and you will need some head room to lift the machine and move it in. Is there some door trim that you can peel off to squeak another inch of space out?

The 1500MX was designed with installation into a residential garage in mind. Here are some dimensions to help sort out if you can fit it in your garage:

  • Height of shipping crate: 86"
  • Height w/o crate, still on pallet: 83"
  • Height with head all the way down, not on pallet: ~80"
  • Width w/o enclosure: ~45"
  • Depth w/o enclosure: ~52"

Thanks, Davie. There’s always a way! Worst case scenario I suppose I could remove the spindle cover to meet the “minimum height configuration” from the print.

I did the self assemble option and we fit through a 82" high door. We moved the machine without the pallet, with the frame sitting on a pallet jack.
