I have just finished assembling a 440. I pugged the coolant pump into the plug at the back of the machine. The pump immediately started to run. The light on the PP screen indicated the pump wasn’t running and it was. M08 and M09 did nothing. Does anyone have an idea on what could be wrong. Thanks.
Do you hear a relay clicking when you turn the pump on and off at the controller? It seems like either it’s plugged into a always powered, power plug or the relay is not turning on and off. If you don’t hear it click when you toggle it in the controller it will tell you where to look next.
I can’t hear any clicking. I opened the panel and compared the controller installation schematic with what I have. I looks like the wires are numbered differently and honestly, I have no idea what to look for.

If you haven’t started a support ticket or called support, you probably should
I’ll bet it’s something simple
Possibly a wire transposed during assembly

Ed’d right open a ticket. If you’re not hearing the relay click when you turn the coolant pump on/off in Pathpilot, you need to figure that out. Support will help you pinpoint that pretty quickly, I would bet!
Thanks for the advice. Just opened a ticket.
Thanks
Just a quick update. Probably within an hour Tormach tech support contacted me. After back and forth with a few emails it was determined the relay may be faulty. Tormach has sent me a new relay that should be here in a few days. I will update this thread when the new relay is installed. I am quite impressed with Tarmach’s customer service.
I received the new relay on the 11th and installed it today. The pump still ran soon as the machine was powered on. I traced all of the wires according to the installation diagram and all of the wires were correct. Hmm. I went through the other stuff that was installed starting with the ATC. I wired the ATC into the RELAY block instead of the power supply. The wires for the ATC are now connected to the power supply and everything works as it should. Now I have a couple of leaks to take care of but I’m happy the pump works as it should. A big thanks to Craig at Tormach for helping me even though it was a case of USER ERROR.
Glad you got it going, Craig is great! Now make some chips and put up pics!
