No comment on the picture. I can’t see enough to say one way or the other.
As far as buying a used machine you will want to do your due diligence to make sure that everything checks out before buying it. Similar to buying a used car. Check for lost motion, make sure the spindle runs fine, cut a test part, move the machine to all it’s limits, check out the dove tails and ways for obvious damage, check the electrical cabinet for oddball wiring and so on. This isn’t meant to be a comprehensive list but a starting point.
Thank you for your reply. I understand the pics aren’t great. Everything I saw looked better than the machine table itself.
It’s still using mach3 software and I had never used it before and I could not figure out how to jog it. That would have resulted in better pics if I was able to.
Maintenance screen showed 10 hours on time and 0 hours spindle run time.
I did see the spindle run and it had no noises and no issues I could see or hear.
I cannot really cut a test part as this is just set in place at a business.
Looking at the ways and ball screws it all looked visibly to be in order and without damage.
I opened the cabinet and saw nothing out of the ordinary everything looked completely untouched.
I have a ticket in with tech support with the same pics, they will likely have a similar response as you.
