It looks like the code generated when cutting a thread cuts (as it should) only on the front of the tool which is done by altering the start position to allow for the 60 degree angle.
Am I missing something, but where do I set the 29 degree angle for an acme thread in the conversational tab?
I found my own answer.
In the code on the line with the G76 there is a Q variable.
Create the thread program using conversational threading and then edit the G-code manual.
Change that to the thread angle - so for a UNC thread Q30, for an acme thread Q14.5 (29 degrees included angle)
Did a great job cutting a 5TPI acme thread on .750 dia aluminum at 600 rpm.
