8L Lathe - Accessory Input 1 and 2?

I noticed 2 inputs on the end of my 8L lathe. Accessory Input 1 and Accessory Input 2. Does anyone know what these are intended to be used for?

I assume they are for a tool setter not yet available from Tormach.
24r router has same and are used for probe and tool height setter.
I have seen one electronic lathe tool setter made by an Australian guy and I would bet it works on the 8l. He makes an electronic probe for the mills also. It was a bit expensive for me.
