Installed 2.12 on our 4 770M+ mills. Upon loading a program we get an error warning that we did not get previously: “G5x offset not specified in program, assuming current offset G54.1 P1 is used”
I don’t want to update thousands of programs for this. Can this warning be eliminated so we don’t get an error on every program?
Roy,
This warning has existed long before 2.12, and is a safety warning that cannot be turned off. Your programs will still run if you press cycle start but you will always be in danger of having the wrong work offset specified that can result in the machine being crashed. I would encourage you to update the post processor you are using to specify the work coordinate being used, as is industry standard.
Thank you,
Norman

Hi Norman, We’ve never seen this message before 2.12 which now throws the error requiring the operator to dismiss it. I guess we will deal with it.
