G41/G42 cutter compensation not working

Sure has a lot of resemblance though… I just threw a real quick program to cut a hex in F360 with the Tormach post and this is the start of what came out…

(0.371 HEX)
G90 G54 G64 G50 G17 G40 G80 G94 G91.1 G49
G20 (Inch)
G30

N10(2D Contour1)
T7 G43 H7 M6
S5000 M3 M8
G54
G0 X0.5361 Y0.2046
G0 Z0.6

…..

I just checked with the operator on the machine. He got it working by removing the cutter comp. I never looked at the program close enough to realize the guy that wrote it had already added the offset for the tool dia. I’m not a fan of that type of programming but it worked on this part (cutting graphite for a EDM electrode). If it didn’t come out to the right size, maybe adding cutter comp with a small cutter dia. (+/-) would have solved it.

Thanks all for the responses.

Good to know. It was probably set to use “wear” cutter comp so you just put wear values in the tool table instead of actual diameter. .
