Hello! Have any 1500MX owners upgraded/switched out the ATC gearbox? I could use some assistance. After removing the access cover bolt it mentions rotating the tray until you see the set screw and loosen but don’t remove completely . I cannot find it!
What am I missing?

I figured it out.. the access hole is not in line with the coupler set screw. The access hole is on center line of the coupler, but the set screw coupler is off center and doesn’t present itself easily. Instead of the 3mm Allen wrench pointing straight into the access hole you have to come at it tilted to get to the offset set screw coupler. Maybe it was just this my machine and not a common thing. The new replacement coupler is redesigned and looks more sturdy
Danny, sorry I just saw this post. For what it’s worth… I too had issues with the original ATC. The new design works great. I have run tons of tool changes… no problem at all. Let me know if you need anything else.

Thank you! How tight did you tighten the center bolt? The one that mentions it needs to still allow the tray to rotate?
